DURING THE ORGANIZATION OF THE TROOP REUNION IN 1987, MRS. BOUTILIER PROVIDED
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION.   

"June 27, 1987

Dear George

Thank you for your letter regarding your troop reunion next summer.  I'm sorry to tell you that Dave passed away June 5, 1985 (from cancer).

Dave quit the force in May 1978 when we bought Green Bay Resort.  He enjoyed his 10 years with the RCMP and the friendship of so many good guys.

Dave's hard work and friendliness in the Whiteshell was rewarded last year when the local people and Gov. named an island on Caddy Lake "Boutilier Island" in his honor.  Our three children Keith, 10 years, Jody, 11 years and Matthew, 6 years, will always be very proud of him.
